CLASSES 2011 and 2012

NEW: Knitted and felted Slippers : Two sessions, $50.00, plus the purchase of two skeins of yarn. Pattern is free to students.

Saturday, January 28, 2012, 1 to 3 PM

These slippers are knitted in the round in one piece. You will begin knitting in the first session, and complete the slippers at home. You will felt your slippers at the store in the second session. Skill level is Confident Beginner.

BEGINNING KNITTING : You will be knitting a simple garter stitch scarf, and will learn how to “cast on,” the “knit stitch,” “cast off,” and how to pick-up a dropped stitch. Classes will be taught by Dawn Martinez, who has a gentle and patient approach to teaching. You will be able to learn at your own pace.

Cost is $20.00 per hour, plus $25.00 for a beginner's kit that includes yarn, pattern, and needles.

OTHER CLASSES : We know how busy you are with the holidays just getting started. We also know how important it is to have a creative outlet in these busy, uncertain times, so we're offering you a new way to schedule classes!

Class Policies

• Pre registration is required. Please register five days or more prior to the beginning of the class. Please be sure you can attend the first session of a multiple session class before scheduling.
• Payment for the class is due at the time of registration. Supplies may be purchased on or before the first day of class.
• If you cancel 7 days or more prior to the beginning of class, you are entitled to a full refund of the class fee.
• If you cancel less than one week (7 days) before the class begins, no refund will be given. You may reschedule at another time, or receive store credit for merchandise.
• If The Wool Basket cancels a class, a full refund will be given.
• Cell phones must be turned off during class time.
• Please do not wear heavy perfume or cologne to class as they may trigger migraine headaches or asthma attacks in others.
• Classes will begin at the scheduled time. Please be considerate of others and be on time.
