         SOCK KNITTING CLASS

Three Sessions: Tuesdays, February 21 & 28, March 6, 2012, 6 to 8 PM.

Cost of class for all sessions: $60.00 plus supplies

You will learn basic sock knitting, starting at the leg and knitting on double pointed needles.

You must know the basic knitting techniques, such as cast on, knit, purl, decrease, and cast off. Join us for this fun class, and start knitting socks for your family and yourself.

Abby Cat Studio patterns are now available at The Wool Basket.

These patterns were designed by Sue and Dave Cunningham, long time antique            collectors from Pennsylvania , drawing on their antiques experiences and their            sense of humor to create patterns quite new and different for the rug hooking             market.

Sue has been an award winning rug hooker, with several of her rugs appearing in the “Celebrations” issues published by Rug Hooking Magazine.

NEW WOOL APPLIQUE Mat of the Month Club : Make a seasonal table mat or runner for your home or as a gift each month. The patterns will be from various designers. You may pick and choose which project you want to do, but preregistration is required each month. We will meet the 4 th Wednesday each month from 1 to 3 PM. (An evening or Saturday group may be scheduled if there is enough interest.)

Cost for the kit with the pattern is $40.00. There is no additional charge for

the  group. If you cannot attend a group and want to do the projects on your own,          the kits are available for purchase. They can also be shipped for an additional charge.

THE MAT OF THE MONTH CLUB

  1. This is not a class. You need to have experience doing Wool Appliqué.
  2. You may pick and chose each project for the month, but advanced registration is required in order to assure we have enough patterns and kits for everyone.
  3. The price of the kits will vary each month depending on the size of the project.
  4. Bring scissors for cutting cloth and paper, along with needles for appliqué. We suggest #20 or #22 Chenille needles. These may be purchased at The Wool Basket.
  5. Additional supplies, such as template plastic, fusible web, and floss may also be purchased at our store.
